About The Dog Trainer

My name is Steven Buhrke,  and I have been doing Rattlesnake Aversion training for dogs since 2001. I have been a certified  professional dog trainer since 1998, when I graduated from the Tom Rose School for dog trainers.  I moved to Tucson that year and began working for Nightwinds International, where I trained, primarily, police k9′s in obedience, protection, and specific odor detection. I also trained basic obedience and behavior problem solving for the general public.

I purchased Buhrke’s Pet Resort in 2001 and learned Snake Aversion training from Glenn Seal, the previous owner of the kennel, who had been doing the training for about 20 years.  With my background in dog training, I slightly modified the training method to more emphasize the dogs concentrating more on  the smell of the snakes.

Besides doing the training for Arizona Rattlesnake Aversion and Buhrke’s Pet Resort, I also do the training for several other businesses, clubs, groups all around the Tucson area. These include Garvins Dog Training, and The Jimmydog Company. I also service most of the police K9′s in  the Tucson surrounding area.

Serving Tucson, Marana, Oro Valley, Catalina, Green Valley, Sahuarita,  and surrounding areas.
