Rattlesnake Avoidance Training for Dogs

Keep your dog safe from rattlesnakes!

Living in Tucson, Marana, Oro Valley, Catalina, or anywhere in Arizona, means being aware of rattlesnakes.  To a dog that is unaware, a rattlesnake may look like a toy or a prey animal to be sniffed out & investigated.  They might chase or try to bite the snake, leading to them getting bit, instead.

Rattlesnake aversion training has been proven safe and very effective in helping to prevent dogs from being bitten by rattlesnakes. This is often referred to as “snake breaking” or “snake proofing”.

This is a quick training that could save your dog’s life and possibly your child’s or your own!”

If you like to hike with your dog or live near the desert, then this training is for you.  Our training helps your dog to realize the danger of rattlesnakes.  Included is one free follow-up session in the same calendar year.  We have more than 18 years of experience in this snake aversion training.

Our program is designed to teach your dog to recognize & avoid the Smell, Sight and Sound of Rattlesnakes.  It may also teach them to avoid other kinds of snakes, but we use Rattlesnakes because they are by far the most common venomous snake in this part of the country. Rattlesnakes, being pit vipers, have their own distinct odor which your dog will be able to distinguish after the training.
